How Are Awnings Installed?

So how do we do it? In this article, we explain our process for installing traditional patio awnings.
Positioning
We start by establishing the position of your awning. This requires meticulous calculations, as we have to consider:
- The lateral and vertical position
- The angle of the slope
- The vertical clearance when extended
Once the position has been identified, we measure the area to establish the location of the brackets and drill the holes necessary to fit them.
We use a vacuum cleaner to remove any of the brick dust, keeping your premises as clean and tidy as possible.
Fixing the brackets
We ensure that the bracket is strong enough to hold the awning. We’ve found that’s not always the case with screws, so we use a special chemical fixing that provides superb strength to the bracket.
The chemical fixing is used to secure the bolts into the wall. The bracket is then fitted, secured and bolted into place.
Fitting the awnings
The awning is lifted into the bracket and secured by fastening the awning bar. Final adjustments and tests are made to ensure that the awning has been fitted correctly and is safe to operate.
